How is bioDensity Effective in Increasing Bone Density
BStrong4Life located in Woodridge, IL, is a system of protocols using highly advanced equipment to strengthen the spine, increase bone density, improve balance and aid in fall prevention. Dr. Perry Cammisa developed the BStrong4Life protocol used for the company. One piece of equipment utilized is the bioDensity machine.
How does bioDensity work?
BioDensity machines utilize osteogenic (bone producing) loading, which facilitates a powerful, self-induced (meaning you apply the load; the load is not applied to you, as in weights) stimulus to the body. The stimulus occurs in the optimum bio-mechanical position. Optimum biomechanics means that your body is in the strongest and safest position when the “load”, or force you generate, is being applied to your bones. The optimum biomechanical position is essential to the success of the program. A specially trained physician and a structural evaluation of each individual is the key to not only generating the bone growth, but minimizing any risk to the individual.
BioDensity consists of four simple yet comprehensive isometric exercises with each exercise lasting 5 to 10 seconds. The user creates a maximum isometric load. This differs from traditional exercise that affects primarily the sarcoplasm.
This system targets primarily myofibril (muscle cables within the sarcoplasm) development and safe articulo-skeletal loading. The equipment precisely measures, tabulates and records user force output 30x sec. via patented load cell/software interface throughout each session.
All physical efforts are recorded, compared and contrasted over time. Each user receives a Performance Report at the conclusion of each training session.
Why is it so important to have a physician supervise these exercises?
Most people looking to increase bone density are either at risk of developing osteopenia/osteoporosis or have already been diagnosed with one of these conditions. Given that, most people looking to increase their bone density are already in a higher risk category for injury. There are age related factors, such as joint pain, arthritis, etc. that need to be taken into consideration as well.
Our doctors require an initial assessment using full spine x-rays, a computerized postural analysis and medical history to customize the program to the individual. A chiropractor, who has spent years studying and working with the spine, is the most knowledgeable professional when it comes to applying maximum loads to the body.
Increasing bone density is no small thing, in fact it’s no less than ground breaking. There’s quantity and quality of bone. This system addresses both quantity and quality of bone density, which no other system or medication does.
The success of BStrong4Life over any other program available, is the combination of customized equipment, customized protocols and specialty trained physicians who administer the program
